The Switch strives to deliver an excellent lindy hop workshop experience with an emphasis on creating a space in which dancers can choose their dance roles as leaders and followers, free from any pressures exerted by modern day gender norms. The Switch seeks to encourage folks to learn the dance as both leaders and followers, and to explore dimensions of the dance that can arise from understanding both perspectives. We find that being "ambidancetrous"' can open new doors in many facets of lindy hop in terms of creative ideas, dance pedagogy, and the exploration of fluid roles within a dance.
